Homemade Dairy-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites

Updated: May 30

Hey everyone! As many of you know, I love trying new plant-based recipes and this one was perfection. If you love chocolate and peanut butter, but hate store-bought candy with milk and other unnecessary additives, this recipe is for you! This is a super simple recipe, requires only 6 ingredients, and is perfect for Valentine's Day!

**You will need silicone chocolate peanut butter cup molds for this recipe. I found mine at Hobby Lobby but there are also great options on Amazon.**

- 1 cup cocoa butter, chopped into pieces

- 2/3 cup cocoa powder

- 7-8 tbsp maple syrup

- 2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/8 tsp unrefined Himalayan salt

- Peanut butter to add in middle of chocolates

- Add about an inch of water in the bottom of a pot and place a glass bowl on top, creating a double boiler.

- Bring the water in the pot to a simmer, then turn to medium-low heat.

- Add the cocoa butter into the glass bowl, stir until fully melted. (About 5 minutes.)

- Once the cocoa butter is fully melted, add in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the glass bowl. Whisk until fully mixed.

- Remove from heat. Pour chocolate to fill molds about half way. Add in a small amount of peanut butter, and fill the rest of the cup with chocolate.

- Let chocolate set by either leaving molds on the counter or putting molds in the fridge. (It will take a couple of hours for the chocolate to set.)

- I used Anthony's Organic Cocoa Butter Wafers and they were the perfect size to melt without having to chop into pieces.

- I only had one peanut butter cup mold, so I used the leftover chocolate to make a chocolate bar using a chocolate bar mold.

- This amount can also make 3 chocolate bars if you prefer making bars instead of peanut butter cups.

Hope you enjoy this recipe and thank you for checking out my blog! :)
